 In a Nut Shell - Referees
The referee is a very important part of the sport of soccer.  We need referees to conduct our matches every weekend.  Each weekend there are over 50 games that need to be convered by our referee staff.
With this in mind it is also the hardest volunteer to recruit.  It is also one of the most interesting jobs AYSO has to offer.  There are many reasons people say they do not want to referee but once they referee a game or two they see it was not that big of a deal.

So why don't you want to referee for your team?
Q = "I don't know the game"
A = Either does the 6 or 7 year old you are watching.  Most of the time the U8 kids are more interested in what is for snack or the bug that flew by them.  We also provide training for you so you won't be able to use that reason.

Q = "I don't have the time"
A = You set your schedule.  You just have to go online and bid your preference.  If it is open it's yours.

Q = "I don't have the money for the equipment"
A = There is no cost to you.  We provide the uniform and the tools for you to succeed.  You just need to step up and do it.  You will not be sorry.

Points are to be awarded to certified referees that referee a game.
The points awarded are based on the age level of the players.
The name and team number need to be listed on the back of the scorecards
