Candy Fundraising money due October 11th.

Candy Fundraising questions
What if you haven't been able to collect from all of your players/families?
No problem.  Simply take the money that you have collected, get a money order, and turn in what you have collected.  Do not put in money yourselves for other players and hope to get paid back!  Just turn in the collected money.

What about the ones I haven't been able to collect from?
We can help with this.   When you turn in your team's money, you will be receiving the pictures packets for all those on your team who have bought out or paid their candy money.  Just pick up a note for those who have yet to turn in their money that explains to them what the process is to turn in money/receive pictures after the turn in date.

What if I still have a box of candy from a missed buy-out or other problem?
Please bring it with you on Sunday to the turn in.  This way your team will be not be held responsible for the candy.

                              OTHER NOTES OF INTEREST

If you have not sent an updated roster to Sharon Eriksen, please bring one with you.  Please make sure that each player's name is correctly spelled, the team name and coaches are on the roster.  This will ensure the trophies are done correctly.

If you haven't had the opportunity to look at your team photo, please be ready to look at it and name the players and coaches in the photo.  (i.e. Sitting:  Ryan, Bob,...) so it can be correct in the yearbook.

  • This is my first time being a team parent.  What are my responsibilities?
  • What will I get in return?

    • Coordinate fundraising distribution and money collection from parents.
    • Collecting money from parents and players and buying gifts for the coaches at the end of the season.
    • Decide where and what type of team party the team will have after the season. See the notes below concerning team parties.
    • Copying and distributing practice and game schedules.

What duties would it be better for the coach to perform rather than the team parent?

    • Start the phone tree in case of changes in practice time or location or cancellation of games or practices.

    Question:
What will I get in return?

    • You will get to be part of the team. We have always felt that the team parent should receive a team trophy just like the coaches because of the effort put out.
    • You will get the coaches' undying devotion.
    • You may get a small gift at the end of the year. (Drop lots of hints)
    • Your child will get to see a real role model in action. It is important that we show our children that you don't always do something in order to receive a reward.
